In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we temporarily closed our office and both Hidden Treasures Thrift Stores in March. Right now, as BC moves into Phase 2 of its Restart Plan, both Hidden Treasures locations will open Monday, June 1, 2020. The office, however, will remain closed for at least another week.
We look forward to welcoming shoppers back into the stores, yet it won’t be business as usual for time being. We’ve established a few temporary guidelines to help protect staff, customers, and volunteers.
Because the size and layout of each store is different, the protocols vary between the Abbotsford and Chilliwack locations. To make sure everyone understands the protocols for each branch, location-specific guidelines are posted in the stores.
In general, we ask that shoppers stay home if they are feeling unwell, and follow the physical distancing guidelines and hand washing practices recommended by health authorities. For everyone’s safety, change rooms and washrooms are closed, and we are limiting the number of people in the store.
- Hidden Treasures Chilliwack is open Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm.
- Hidden Treasures Abbotsford is open Monday to Friday, 12 pm to 5 pm, and Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.
In addition, we will continue to offer online sales and pick up through our Facebook Shops.
Going forward, the health of our staff, volunteers, and customers is our main priority. If COVID-19 transmission rates increase in the coming weeks and months, we will continue to follow the guidance of our provincial health authorities, and take all necessary steps to follow government recommendations.
