Today is Prisoners’ Justice Day.
Let’s remember the people who have died while incarcerated and acknowledge the overrepresentation of Indigenous and Black folks in Canada’s prisons.
All across Canada, people in prison are showing solidarity by fasting and refusing to work. Let’s recognize their struggle for justice and, together, continue to find ways to share hope and restoration with those inside.
