Portraits of Change: Online Fundraiser

At M2/W2, we’ve been holding fundraisers since 1973, yet our event tomorrow is unique: It’s our first-ever online fundraiser!

This year’s theme is Portraits of Change. It represents how all of us—staff, volunteers, mentors, matches, dynamic members—are changed by our involvement with M2/W2. The portraits are our stories.

While we can’t be in the same room this year, we can still be together and hear a few incredible stories of change. Keep reading to learn how to join the event:

How to Watch

Zoom

Zoom is the best way to watch and participate in the fundraiser. If you haven’t used Zoom before, first sign up for Zoom and then download and install the Zoom client on your computer. For your phone, you can download the Zoom app.

Zoom works with the microphone and camera on your computer, so depending on how your system is set up, you may need to give Zoom permission to use the camera and microphone.

If you are a first-time Zoom user, we recommend testing Zoom before the event tomorrow night. Zoom has a test meeting that you can join to make sure your audio and video are configured correctly.

Zoom Chat

During the event, we’ll be using the chat feature to interact. When you join the meeting, click the speech bubble icon labelled Chat on the bottom of the Zoom window. This opens the chat.

Livestream
