Reading Time: 2 minutes

Many people in prison feel forgotten. Cut off from the world, it’s easy to lose hope and meaning. The words of Jesus in Luke 12:6-7, however, remind us that God knows and values everyone.

“Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”

God remembers us. He knows us.

He also cares for us. Even when we don’t feel connected or worthy, God’s love is constant.

At M2W2, our mission is to answer God’s call in Matthew 25:35-36 and build trust-filled relationships that bring value, restoration, and hope to every person.

Our work centres on relationships. Our staff and volunteers reach out to people in prison or reintegrating into the community. We share with them compassion, friendship, and practical support. We meet them — wherever they are — and encourage them to move forward, overcome challenges, and get their lives back on track.

We try to connect with people in a way that reminds them they aren’t alone and forgotten. For someone trying to make changes, this connection can make all the difference. It can inspire them to push on when life gets tough. And we couldn’t do it without your support.

Thank you to all our volunteers, donors, and prayer supporters. Because of you, we can reach out to those on the fringes of society and help them reconnect. By showing compassion and care, we can remind people of their value. Thank you for making this possible.

If you’d like to join us in prayer this month, our August calendar is now available. If you’d like to learn more about volunteering with us, we’d love to hear from you.
