This past year was a challenge for our organization, as it was for many, many others. Volunteer programs were suspended at prisons, indoor gatherings were limited, and both Hidden Treasures stores were closed temporarily. Yet our volunteers found new ways to stay connected with people in prison and in the community. They wrote letters, made phone calls and video calls, and sent care packages. Volunteers in the No One Leaves Alone community reintegration project met outdoors or over Zoom. Hidden Treasures had an incredible year—despite being closed for almost three months.
We also made progress on our strategic plan. We created a new vision statement and identified key objectives that we’ll address in the coming years.
Ultimately, under the shadow of a pandemic, God blessed our organization. We are thankful for all he has done this past year.
